It is about a 20 minute walk from York railway station and is served by the following buses from the station:

• 10/10A Poppleton to Stamford Bridge (board at stop RL) First Bus
• 67 York Rail Station to York University Sport Village (board at top RJ) First Bus
• 747 York Railway Station to Pocklington (board at stop RC) East Yorkshire
• X46/X47 York Railway Station to Hull, via Pocklington (board at stop RC) East Yorkshire

In each case alight at the Waggon and Horses and cross the road by the traffic lights.
